Terms of use

This page is written in English. A reviewed translation follows.

Who we are

Questant (“we”, the operator) runs the service at www.questant.app from Kathu District, Phuket, Thailand, and can be reached at info@questant.app. Questant is an independent service, not a registered company. These terms are an agreement between the operator and the adult who opens an account.

What Questant is

Questant provides short English lessons built from current stories and mathematics, questions and written tasks, and human teacher reviews of written work, for learners from Y1 to Y12. Lesson content stays in English whatever the interface language.

Accounts

Content and ownership

Lessons, stories, illustrations, companions and the software are Questant's, or used under licence, and are for personal, non-commercial learning. Each story names its source and links to the original report; sources are paraphrased and their words and images are not reused. The work a learner submits belongs to the family; you grant Questant permission to store it, show it to a reviewing teacher, and build the family's own report from it. Nothing else.

AI-assisted content

Stories, draft notes and preliminary scores are produced with the help of a language model and may contain mistakes. Every score and note a family sees has been confirmed and signed by a teacher; if you find an error, tell us and we will correct the record.

Access and payment

A free sample lesson needs no account. A founding code grants one learner 30 days of full access with no payment and no renewal; when it ends, the learner returns to the free plan and keeps their history and badges.

Paid access is a one-time pass for one learner and a fixed number of days — a day, a week or a month. It is not a subscription: nothing renews and nothing is charged again unless you buy another pass. The price and currency are shown before you pay; payment is taken by Stripe, and Questant never sees your card number. A pass belongs to the learner it was bought for; a sibling needs their own. Refund terms are on Refunds and access.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to access another family's records, to automate or scrape the service, to submit content that is unlawful or harmful, or to use the service to train other systems. We may suspend an account that does.

Availability and changes

Questant is in public beta. Lessons are added weekly and features change; we will keep these terms and the privacy page current and date them. We may end the service with notice, and you may close your account at any time — see Contact.

Liability

Questant is provided as it is. We do our best to keep it accurate and available, but we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law where you live.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand, where the operator is based, and the courts of Thailand have jurisdiction over any dispute — without taking away protections you cannot waive under the consumer law of the country you live in. Before going to court, write to info@questant.app; most problems are put right within two working days.
